Cross-selling insurance: let follow-up lead to a client conversation

Invite existing clients to a useful review and automate the reminders, so agents can focus on the conversation and any quotes that follow.

Your team should not have to dial the whole list

You already have clients who know your agency. Some may need help with another policy or want to review a change in their business. Reaching out to each person by hand takes time.

An approved campaign can send the invitation and follow up. Your staff can then focus on clients who want help.

Start with a reason to talk

For a commercial client, a review might ask whether they have added vehicles, changed locations or hired staff. For a household, it might be a general invitation to review policies together.

Use the information you have to make the invitation relevant. Do not tell someone they have a coverage gap just because you do not have that policy in your records.

What automation can handle

  • Contact a client group your agency has reviewed and approved.
  • Send a clear invitation to speak with an agent.
  • Follow up using the agreed contact method and timing.
  • Offer a booking link or help arrange the conversation.

What your agent does next

The agent checks what the client already has, asks about changes and decides whether a quote is appropriate. The automation helps get that conversation started. It does not make coverage decisions.

A useful handoff tells the agent who responded and what they want to discuss. The client should not have to explain the same request repeatedly.

A simple message to start from

"Hi Jordan, we would be happy to review whether your insurance still fits your business. Have you added vehicles, changed locations or made other changes? If you would like to talk, here is a link to book time with our agency."

This is sample wording, not a promise of savings. Your agency should adjust it for the client group and the policies it actually handles.

Keep the list current

Remove duplicate contacts and check recent client conversations before a campaign starts. Respect contact preferences and stop when the client asks. Follow-up should feel like service, not repeated pressure.

Mach 5 helps with the list and the follow-up

Our existing-book analysis can flag client groups worth reviewing. Your agency checks those suggestions before outreach begins. Mach 5 can then help set up the agreed campaign.

Ask to see the client invitation, follow-up and booking steps in a demo. The goal is more useful client conversations with less manual chasing.
